Peace etc. features contributors from 8 countries: authors, politicians, designers, theoreticians as well as
students and pupils. They bring forth their observations, visions, projects and last but not least definitions of
what peace means in the 21st Century. Amongst some of the contributions Peace etc. contains a piece by
Klaus Töpfer, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi.

With Peace etc. readers are confronted with a fresh reading format, that does not conform to contemporary
consumption habits. The reader in newspaper format is an invitation to contemplate upon timeless themes
that are explored against a topical background. At the same time it remains compact and highly readable.
The new issue treats visual and text contributions on equal par. The results are powerful, personal statements.

Co-publisher Sven Ehmann: Nowadays discussions on essential themes have become quickly consumable
commodities. In turn our publication attempts to reverse the superficiality and hastiness of such discourses. In
Peace etc. for example, we focus on the title theme by trying to pose questions - questions that are perhaps
challenging enough for war not to remain the only answer. We also play with contradictions that lie within and
between the texts and the visuals.

Editors: Nicolas Bourquin, Sven Ehmann, Krystian Woznicki
